Next.js performance rescue, Lighthouse 55 to 95+ in a quarter
Led SSR optimization and component-library work at Azkivam, an Iranian fintech. Lighthouse scores went from 55 to 95+, feature delivery sped up 40%, and the design language landed in a 120-component Storybook.
The problem
Azkivam's customer-facing application was hitting performance walls at scale. Lighthouse scores sat in the mid-50s, hydration cost was visible to users, and the component patterns across the product had drifted apart enough that feature work was slowed by re-implementing the same shapes. The team needed a performance push and a single source of truth for UI.
Constraints
- No content rewrites — the existing pages had to keep working
- TypeScript-strict across the monorepo
- Cross-functional FinTech delivery with no extended freeze windows
What I built
- 01Refactored the SSR pipeline in Next.js with TypeScript-strict rules
- 02Stood up a 120+ component Storybook library and migrated apps onto it
- 03Eliminated hydration bottlenecks and trimmed the JS shipped on the critical path
- 04Standardized data-fetching and rendering patterns across modular admin panels
- 05Worked alongside backend, design, and product teams to keep delivery flowing

Full-stack Next.js builds start at $12k for fixed scope.
Day rate from $1,500 for embedded work. Next.js, Node.js, and monorepo engagements typically run 4 to 12 weeks against defined performance and SEO targets.
